Important financial and non-financial data, such as ESG information on the sustainability of OTE Group from its activities in all sectors, are reflected in the Integrated Sustainability Report 2020.The 16th Sustainable Development Report of OTE Group records OTE Group's contribution to creating a better world for all through technology, presenting the long-term value it generates for society, the economy and the environment.
OTE Group's key sustainability priorities are improving its environmental and social footprint, as well as equal access for all citizens to the digital world. For the environment, OTE Group set new goals to address climate change: zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2025 from its operations and by 2040 from the entire value chain.

By investing 2 billion in new generation networks over the four years and developing advanced digital products and services, OTE Group enhances accessibility and development. At the same time, it undertakes initiatives to support society and vulnerable social groups, as well as to develop the digital skills of citizens and its people. In 2020, the social contribution reached 5.1 million euros and had over 1.6 beneficiaries.

The 2020 Integrated Sustainability Report was prepared in accordance with the principles of the International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) and incorporates the results of a new Materiality Analysis involving nearly 2,500 stakeholders. It is the reportfirst people accessible to with visual impairments, as its content has been specifically designed to facilitate these users.

Sustainable Development Reports: tools for the evolution of sustainability
The evolution of OTE Group's sustainability reports over time and the maturity they have reached, including ESG information, is in line with the evolution of sustainable development issues. This results in the report being used as a tool to improve OTE Group's performance in environmental, social and corporate governance issues.
“From the beginning, we understood the importance of a properly structured report based on international practices, standards and sustainability tools, not only as a source of information for stakeholders, but as a major mapping, which contributes decisively to the improvement and development of the sustainable development strategy in the company. A particularly important initiative was the creation of an inter-company team of more than 50 people to collect information for the reports, which was the first agile working group, which helped in the understanding of sustainable development by all organizational units. This organization brought us to the good level we are at today,” said Depi Tzimea, Executive Director of Corporate Communication and Sustainable Development of OTE Group.

The high level of OTE Group's reporting is also confirmed by the recent awarding of the OTE Group Sustainability Report 2019 at the Corporate Register CR Reporting Awards (CRRAs). These are the only international independent awards for Corporate Responsibility Reports, where the OTE Group report won 1st place in the Creativity in Communications category and 2ndplace in the Best Integrated Report category.
